ANIMO commissioned Supirya to write a new composition for them in 2020. It was to be mainly improvised with only two sections written-out.
The fact that this composition was going to be freely expressed and improvised was the main reason ANIMO chose Supirya as their composer. The team survived various Zoom collaborations but it wasn't until their first face-to-face meeting in Gloucestershire that Supriya and ANIMO decided to collaborate as an ensemble.
